These are flavors that we just about always have available. Like all small ice cream businesses, we do run out of these on occasion due to limited storage — normally during exceptionally busy periods. But if we’re out of one of these, you can be certain that we’re in the process of making more and that they’ll be back in stock within a day or two.

Specialty Flavors

Almond Coconut Fudge

There’s a popular candy bar made by M&M Mars that this one is modeled after. We can’t use the name, but it inspires “joy”! Coconut ice cream with almonds, chocolate chunks, and fudge!

Big City Brownie

Not sure where this name came from, but we started calling it this, and the name has stuck! Chocolate ice cream, fudgey brownie pieces, walnuts, and a thick streak of fudge.

Brown Sugar Oatmeal

The target of a particularly scathing Yelp review — the “reviewer” chastises us for putting “raw oats” in ice cream! (We actually use instant oats…) Deeply flavored with brown sugar and oatmeal, this one has a definite mouth texture that you have to enjoy to like this flavor. But it’s one of our more popular ones. Tip of the cap to our friends Penny and Tony at The Inside Scoop in Coopersburg, PA for the idea for this one!

Candy Store Floor

When youngest son David (the “D” in “MAD”) was 11 or 12, he dreamed this flavor up one winter morning when we were scheming about opening a store, and we made it as a joke — but it sells like crazy! A light chocolate malted base, with M&Ms, Chocolate chips, Nestle Crunch pieces, and crushed malted milk balls. Sounds like a “kid” flavor, but it has a LOT of adult fans!

Cherry Vanilla Chip

While most local shops make a “Cherry Vanilla” that uses Maraschino cherries, I never liked the taste of them. So ours is vanilla ice cream with delicious Black Jack cherry halves and chocolate chunks.

Chocolate PB

Chocolate ice cream, flavored with real peanut butter and mixed with mini peanut butter cups.

Double Dark Chocolate

Our blue ribbon entry! Extra dark chocolate — so fudgey and rich that only die hard chocolate lovers should order it!

Double Dark Cookie

We originally made a Chocolate Cookie, using our standard milk chocolate base. But one of our regular customers, Greg, asked if we’d try making it using our Double Dark Chocolate base instead. And it was an instant hit! Dark chocolate base, with tons of crushed Ore…, er, I mean crushed “chocolate sandwich cookies filled with a creamy vanilla filling”. (We aren’t allowed to use the “O” word, as a certain large, national food manufacturer that rhymes with Mabisco, gets grumpy about it.)

Kahlua Brownie Fudge

Delicious Kahlua (a coffee liquor) -flavored ice cream with chunks of hand-cut brownies and a streak of marbling fudge.

Mad Moose

The more common name of this flavor is trademarked by Denali Flavorings (which doesn’t seem to stop many others from stealing the name, but…) so we use our own name for this one. Vanilla ice cream, mini peanut butter cups, and a thick streak of marbling fudge.

Massachusetts Mud

Based on a flavor I used to get at a small, long gone shop in Falmouth, MA when I was younger, this one is a light coffee base, with a hint of cinnamon, crushed chocolate cookies (we can’t use the “O” name…), chopped almonds, and a thick, gooey caramel streak. Steve’s favorite!

Salted Caramel

We’ve made this for several years, after hearing about it from the famous Bi-Rite Creamery in San Francisco. While many other local shops have jumped onto the bandwagon, most others use a commercial ice cream flavoring, while we cook ours from scratch. After watching a video from Bi-Rite online, it took about 20 trial batches (several of which ended up in the trash can…) to learn to make this correctly without burning it and to get the correct salt/caramel ratio. Now we’ve got it dialed in, and it’s delicious!

Vanilla Caramel Brownie

After our supplier discontinued the caramel turtles from above, we came up with this flavor as a replacement. Vanilla ice Cream, brownie pieces, and a thick, gooey streak of caramel.

These are flavors that are available seasonally, though sometimes they appear at different times of the year when a customer requests a special batch.

Seasonals

Pumpkin Gingersnap photo

Pumpkin Gingersnap

One of our all-time favorites, and (in my opinion) one of the top two or three flavors we make, regardless of the season. We take a premium commercial pumpkin base, then pump it up with some special spices (using my mom’s pumpkin pie recipe as the model!), and then mix in a generous amount of chopped gingersnap cookies. The result is spectacular, if I do say so myself! This is our all time best selling seasonal, as we’re continually laboring to keep it in stock between mid-July and Thanksgiving.
S'Mores photo

S'Mores

Indulge in the ultimate campfire treat with our S'Mores Ice Cream. This delightful concoction features creamy vanilla ice cream as its base, perfectly complemented by crunchy graham cracker chunks. Rich chocolate chip pieces add a touch of decadence, while a luscious marshmallow swirl ties everything together. Each bite is a nostalgic trip to a cozy evening by the fire, bringing all the classic flavors of s'mores into one irresistible frozen dessert.
Caramel Apple photo

Caramel Apple

One of our Autumn favorites, this one is an apple flavored ice cream with big chunks of cinnamon apple slices and a thick streak of caramel.
Monster Mash photo

Monster Mash

Get ready for a spooktacular time with MONSTER MASH! This Halloween delight features a light caramel base loaded with Kit-Kats, Whoppers, M&Ms, Hersey bars, and Cookies & Cream candy bars. Colored in eerie shades of purple and green, it's the perfect treat to get you in the Halloween Spirit!
Rainbow Summer photo

Rainbow Summer

This delightful cotton candy ice cream features Nerd candies and a colorful rainbow swirl. It's the perfect treat for Summer!
Orange Pineapple photo

Orange Pineapple

While most homemade shops use a commercial flavored ice cream base for their Orange Pineapple, we cook our own from scratch, as we’ve found that we can produce a cleaner, refreshing taste without adding a lot of artificial colors or flavors. This is a traditional “hot weather” flavor, as its citrusy taste is light and refreshing, even when the temperatures soar. We generally make this flavor from early May until early August, but sometimes run it a little longer if we’re experiencing a very warm late-summer stretch.
G.O.A.T. Food photo

G.O.A.T. Food

This is one of our newer seasonals — we only make it when the Patriots are in the Super Bowl (so, every year — sorry haters!) A flavor for the start of the football season, and for the big game in February, this one is a tip-of-the-hat to our Greatest-Of-All-Time QB (even though we know he’d never eat it — he’s an avocado ice cream lover, and that’s just wrong.) Vanilla ice cream with red, white, and blue M&Ms, chopped white chocolate Kit Kat bars, and a streak of caramel. It’s a fast seller when we have it!
Maple Bacon photo

Maple Bacon

This is an interesting flavor that we initially started making during the local maple sugaring season, to support our friends over at Turtle Lane Maple Farm. While TLMF has since ceased operations, we still make this flavor in late-February / early-March to celebrate the warming temperatures and the hint of spring. Made with real, locally sourced (though now, sourced from New Hampshire, rather than here in North Andover…) maple syrup, with chopped bacon pieces. No where near as disgusting as some people imagine when hearing the flavor name, this one is actually delicious — the sweet and salty mixture has plenty of fans who come out specifically to grab a few pints to store in their freezers for later in the year!
Coconut Scout Cookie photo

Coconut Scout Cookie

Delicious coconut ice cream, with chopped pieces of real Caramel deLight scout cookies and a thick streak of gooey caramel. Generally available during Girl Scout cookie season — February and March.
Mint Scout Cookie photo

Mint Scout Cookie

White mint ice cream with crushed Thin Mint cookies. Also available during the time we have girl scout cookies left — February and March (but if our cookie supply is good, sometimes this popular flavor is still around in April.

Chili Chocolate

A darker version of our regular chocolate, and with a kick of Habanero peppers mixed in — this is NOT a flavor for the faint of heart. Upon tasting it, you’ll feel the sweet chocolatey taste in the front of your mouth, followed by a slow, rising burn of the Habanero peppers in the back of your throat. Definitely not for everyone, but for those who love spicy heat, this is your flavor! We generally make a batch of this around July 1st, and another around Super Bowl Sunday.
Cranberry Bog photo

Cranberry Bog

Another of our great fall flavors, this one is a light cranberry flavored ice cream, mixed with pieces of chocolate chunks, walnuts, and dried cranberries. Delicious, especially when you get a chunk of chocolate, a piece of walnut, and a cranberry, all mixed together in the same bite!
Strawberry (sometimes Blueberry…) Cheesecake photo

Strawberry (sometimes Blueberry…) Cheesecake

Cream cheese-infused ice cream, mixed in with crushed vanilla wafers and a streak of strawberry (or blueberry, depending upon our mood…) sauce. A summery flavor we generally make around May / June-ish.
Groundhog Stew photo

Groundhog Stew

If the winter is exceptionally bad around Groundhog Day (February 2nd), or around March 15th, if we realize that that crazy rodent messed up his winter prognosis yet again, we’ll cook up a batch of this flavor in effigy, to hopefully speed up Spring’s arrival. We don’t have a fixed recipe for this one, as we mix it up a bit each year, but generally, it’s a malted vanilla base, with M&M’s, crushed Kit-Kat bars, and white yogurt-covered pretzels.

Cappuccino Espresso Bean

Light coffee ice cream, with a hint of cinnamon, and crushed chocolate-covered espresso beans. This one packs a caffeinated jolt — be wary of enjoying it late at night! And it’s a flavor that we generally make only during the summer, so ask if it’s available!

Vanilla Cinnamon

A fall favorite that somehow keeps sneaking onto our regular lineup. Vanilla ice cream with enough cinnamon to keep things interesting!
Lemon Nerds photo

Lemon Nerds

A real “kid” flavor — electric yellow, lemon-flavored ice cream, mixed with tons of colorful “Nerds” candy pieces. Not for the ice cream purist, but the younger customers love this colorful flavor. We only make this one a few times a year, usually during peak ice cream season, so ask before ordering this one!
